Decluttering 101 (Taglish Edition): Paano Mag-let Go Without Losing Your Mind
LOL.
Pero here’s the truth, Mommy (and not-so-mommy): decluttering is not about pagiging minimalist overnight. It’s about making space—for peace, clarity, and sanity.
And this 2026, I am going to declutter a lot of things in my life una na sa room ko. π
Akala ko noon pag VA ka , you will have a lot of time for yourself pero little that I know mahirap din palang ibalanse talaga lahat ng gusto mong gawin. Pero here are some tips to get you started cleaning up your messy place.
1. Start Somewhere (Kahit Saan, Promise)
Huwag mo nang hintayin yung “perfect day.” Walang ganun.
Start with one drawer. One bag. One pile of papers.
π Progress beats perfection. Kahit 10 minutes lang—counted na ‘yan.
Here are some stuff I am letting go, click the image para maredirect kyo sa Carousel shop ko where I posted my preloved items

2. Keep. Donate. Sell. (Tatlo Lang, Wag Dagdagan π)
Make three piles:
Keep – ginagamit at mahal mo pa
Sell – hello Facebook Marketplace πΈ
Rule of thumb: Once puno na ang box, ilabas agad.
Out of sight = out of heart (mas madali mag-move on).
When it is for donation, my mom is the first person that comes to my mind, next yung sister ko then ung brother ko.
I sell my decluttered items sa Carousel and sa Facebook Marketplace.
3. The 5-Second Rule
Hawakan mo yung item.
If within 5 seconds hindi mo maalala kung kailan mo last ginamit…
They all end up compatible sa phone ng husband ko but he doesn't even post on social media.
I have no other choice but to dispose them na. I felt much better afterwards. π€
4. Does It Spark Joy… or Guilt?
Honest check:
Pinapasaya ka ba nito?
Or tinatago mo lang kasi “sayang”?
If guilt lang ang reason kung bakit mo siya kinikeep, clutter na ‘yan—emotionally and physically.
Yan talaga I would say sayang kasi I have other mirrors na sa bahay at dahil mahilig akong magpabudol sa TikTok binili ko iyan kahit wala naman talaga akong pag gagamitan.
It's still working perfectly fine kaya if gusto nyo iyan malakas maka aesthetic ng room mirror, message nyo lang ako.
5. Do You Have Multiples? (Hindi Ka Kusinero sa MasterChef π)
Tatlong spatula?
Limang tote bag na “pang grocery”?
Unless araw-araw mo silang sabay ginagamit, one or two is enough.
The rest? Thank you, next.
Our unused creative hanging tissue holder is just like that π€
6. Recycle What You Can
Old phones, magazines, random wires—huwag lang itambak.
Recycle responsibly.
π± Decluttering is also self-care and planet-care.
Sayang pwede pa pagprint-an sa kabilang side.
7. Set Time Limits (Hindi Marathon Ito)
Mag-set ka ng timer—20 minutes, max.
Pag lampas na, stop.
Decluttering should feel light, not punishing.
8. Don’t Let the Boxes Sit
Ito ang pinaka-delikado.
Kapag nag-declutter ka tapos tinago mo lang yung box for “later,”
guess what?
➡️ Clutter pa rin siya. Just in a box.
So ilabas na. Donate. Sell. Let go.
Decluttering isn’t about having less.
It’s about having room to breathe.
Room to rest.
Room to think.
Room for what truly matters.
And remember—you don’t need to finish everything today.
Ang mahalaga, you started.
Small wins count. Always. π€
